The 6th Annual Jimmy Burns Tailgater was another outstanding day for Jimmy Burns fans! The Loyola Ramblers crushed the St. Rita Mustangs in their homecoming game, 24-0. The temperature hit low 70s and the sun was shining all afternoon. Several hundred supporters ventured out for the JBF Tailgater, bringing in profits to the organization totaling $11,000. The food from Italian Kitchen was, once again, delicious and plentiful. The three giant kiddie bouncies were a blast. And the many prizes and giveaways for the young ones were enjoyed by all, including JBF footballs and maroon and gold pom-pons. Our band (made up of former Loyola students) served as an excellent backdrop to a fantastic day. Even Loyola's rival for the day, St. Rita, got in on the fun and representatives from the school donated generously to our cause. The Deerfield Lion's Club demonstrated their spirit with a $1,000 donation to the JBF. Thanks to all for making this day a hit and for once again celebrating with us the life and legacy of Jimmy Burns, #33.
